"HOW CAN I GET THEM TO THE DOCTOR?"
You get what we’re on about and you know that HPV immunisation is a good idea – but protection really is better when both you and your partner are immunised. So how do we talk about it and how do you get them to the doctor?
Here are some tips on getting them to go to the doctor:
Show them this website
Draw a picture
Tell them there is a party at the doctors and they are invited
Get tough. Remind them that HPV-related cancers are serious for both of you!
Tell them if you are both protected with the HPV vaccine then you both have the most protection
Say there may be a lollipop afterwards
Do at the same time as something else (like renewing your pill prescription)
Make it a caring couples thing
Remind them that it’s free*. We all like free stuff
